What form of government and economical system do you think works and should be used? Tell me what you think

I just want everything free.....I don't know how,but just make everything free.

In all seriousness though, some form of resource economy sounds some what viable to me.

Socialistic minarchy, perhaps?

Socialism is a very good system - when it works. I'm not talking about full-on communism where the state decides everything, but simply high taxes, and those taxes being used for public welfare systems like medicine, infrastructure, and other such stuff.

A minarchy is where the government does as little as possible. This may seem to contradict the socialism bit, but the two are on different scales. In a minarchy, the community is mostly self-governed.

So combining the two, this is a sort of government that takes a chunk of your income and uses it to provide free health care and such, but that's all it does. Of course, the best kind of system might be a total state of anarchy. Where no government is needed, because everyone shares everything they have, and nobody wants to steal or kill or whatever the fuck might be relevant.

I actually I'm taking the Plato and Hegal stance on this one and don't agree with allowing the general public govern itself. I like the representive and congress Idea to an extent. I'd just make a few minor changes such as shrinking it a lot, but put in very skilled and intelligent people that went to school to solve a countries problems. You will have a select person who governs the city just like a regular mayor, but  he can only address city income, development, and protection for the cities citizens. This mayor also must uphold the laws of what the heads of the country have made. .Above the mayor will be a team of skilled supervisors who look over the mayors of a certain sector and make sure they're doing their job properly. Above the supervisors will be the heads of state which make the laws based on research gathered by a department that gathers information on what the peoples needs or issues. They will gather information from the mayors and have the same authority as the supervisors. These heads of state are to make laws and pass bills that benefit the people, but doesn't take orders from the people nor violate individual rights even for the sake of security. These law makers will also be the countries representatives when negotiating trade agreements and can never start a war unless it is inevitable or last option.  People elect only qualified officials based on what they have learned and the applicants cannot sell themselves besides showing their capabilities. Upon being elected you will be held responsible for every mistake such as a bill being passed that didn't benefit the people and violate certain rights.  The country will grow its own food and I agree with a bigger tax margin in exchange for healthcare, food, shelter, and water, education, and infrastructure. Money made with trade will be sent towards government jobs, research and education. Military will be paid for  with taxes, but mostly if there is some left. The majority of it will go to peoples needs.

^^Have more to add, but I'm tired of typing up my fair tale land.

I like the idea of the venus project( a resource based economy) because it's free lol doubt I'll ever see it or it can even work completely though. If everything was free, you would eliminate a lot of shit, but I want to see what would arise from something like that. There is always negative effects.

The system America was founded on is an excellent system. If we could just roll back the government to it's intended form then we would be set.

Or we could do some Star Trek shit and everyone work for free to the benefit of all man kind!

Also of note, two rules I would suggest starting out with:

Those who make the laws face more severe punishment for making them. You made it, you should be intimately familiar with it.

Those who choose to defend another in court face the same punishment as the one they defend. There will be no people trained to get others out of punishment. Of course, this would mean everyone knows the law properly, which means the laws have to be simple. This means a restriction on how many laws there can be at any one time. Redundancy will be punished.

Well how much punishment are we talking about for incompetent law makers? I was thinking they're to be terminated from any government work and banned from getting any corporate job or even as a consultant. Lawyers should be lawyers, public defenders, and prosacuters should be held accountable as well so I like that idea of having them receive the same punishment if they take the job.

If a person makes a law, it gets through, and they break that law, they get a 50% longer sentence, bigger fine, or whatever else is appropriate.

 Fascist

The manifesto (published in "Il Popolo d'Italia" on June 6, 1919) is divided into four sections, describing Fascist objectives in political, social, military and financial fields.[2]

Politically, the manifesto calls for:

  • Universal suffrage with a lowered voting age to 18 years, and voting and electoral office eligibility for all age 25 and more, including women;
  • Proportional representation on a regional basis;
  • Voting for women (which was opposed by most other European nations);
  • Representation at government level of newly created national councils by economic sector;
  • The abolition of the Italian Senate (at the time, the senate, as the upper house of parliament, was by process elected by the wealthier citizens, but were in reality direct appointments by the king. It has been described as a sort of extended council of the crown);
  • The formation of a national council of experts for labor, for industry, for transportation, for the public health, for communications, etc. Selections to be made of professionals or of tradesmen with legislative powers, and elected directly to a general commission with ministerial powers.

In labour and social policy, the manifesto calls for:

  • The quick enactment of a law of the state that sanctions an eight-hour workday for all workers;
  • A minimum wage;
  • The participation of workers' representatives in the functions of industry commissions;
  • To show the same confidence in the labor unions (that prove to be technically and morally worthy) as is given to industry executives or public servants;
  • Reorganisation of the railways and the transport sector;
  • Revision of the draft law on invalidity insurance;
  • Reduction of the retirement age from 65 to 55.

In military affairs, the manifesto advocates:

  • Creation of a short-service national militia with specifically defensive responsibilities;
  • Armaments factories are to be nationalised;
  • A peaceful but competitive foreign policy.

In finance, the manifesto advocates:

  • A strong progressive tax on capital (envisaging a “partial expropriation” of concentrated wealth);
  • The seizure of all the possessions of the religious congregations and the abolition of all the bishoprics, which constitute an enormous liability on the Nation and on the privileges of the poor;
  • Revision of all contracts for military provisions;
  • The revision of all military contracts and the seizure of 85 percent of the profits therein.

this incredible love for capitalism needs to stop that's all I know. It's not perfect, there's many falws and we're not even fully capitalistic anyway. I lean more towards more of a socialistic point of view but once again, too much of anything is bad. There needs to be a balance...

Well it is how people are raised. They can't see anything besides what everybody around them praises as the bast form of government....a Democratic Republic with its sugar daddy Capitalism.  In theory it could work, but the problem is it creates inequality and that leads to all sorts of issues. Not to mention the longevity isn't very long. America is a big melting pot, the problem is we don't act like it.

I think we could take a page from almost all forms of government.
